
In an effort to help the government accelerate the formation of herd immunity or community group immunity against COVID-19, the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation in collaboration with the Bantul Regency Health Office and Puskesmas Pandak I carried out COVID-19 Vaccination activities. The vaccination activity was held on Sunday, 26 December 2021 at the Wijirejo Village Office Hall, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. The implementers of this activity involved health workers from Puskesmas Pandak I, students who received UGM KSE scholarships, and were assisted by volunteers from Wijirejo Village. The targets of this activity are the general public of Wijirejo Village, the general public in the working area of Puskesmas Pandak I, and children of SD Muhammadiyah Kadisoro 1 & surrounding areas. The types of vaccines used are Sinovac dose 1 for children aged 6-11 years, Sinovac dose 2 for the general public aged >12 years, and Pfizer dose 1 for the general public >12 years.


At the time of implementation of vaccine activities, a total of 243 vaccine acceptors (acceptors) of doses 1 and 2, including 80 children aged 6-11 years, and 163 general public aged >12 years. In this activity there were also no KIPIs (Post-Immunisation Adverse Events).
KSE scholarship students or Beswan KSE UGM coordinated with various parties in the local village and hamlet. In addition, pre-activity socialisation was also carried out to attract vaccine participants. Socialisation was carried out by going around the dukuh using a pickup truck assisted by the Head of BAMUSKAL Wijirejo, as well as door to door socialisation which aims to educate the community to better understand the importance of vaccines and increase their enthusiasm for vaccination.
