PT. UBS Sekuritas Indonesia in collaboration with the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Financial Literacy event "Getting to Know the Capital Market" as well as the Environ-man Race UBS Employees Engagement Activity "Ecology & Environment" Day on Friday (7/9) and Saturday (8 /9) yesterday. Paguyuban Anindyaguna Karya Salemba Empat Udayana University was chosen to host this activity. Taking place in the Doctoral Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, Denpasar, the FGD activity was officially opened by the UBS coordinator, Andre Tjahjamuljo with the beating of a gong and handing over symbols of the PT UBS Sekuritas Indonesia scholarship program to Udayana University KSE scholarship recipients. This activity was also attended by KSE Executive Treasurer Ami Tantri and Deputy Chancellor III Udayana University Prof. Dr. Ir. I Made Sudarma, M.S.
One day later, Saturday (8/9), the Environ-man Race UBS Employees Engagement Activity "Ecology & Environment" Day was also held. Different from the previous activities which focused on finances, the activities on the second day referred to the environment and cleanliness. A total of 30 children from SD Negeri 2 and 3 Serangan participated in this activity. The release of the hatchlings was the opening of the activities carried out in Serangan Village, South Denpasar, Denpasar. After the opening ceremony was over, parties from PT. UBS Sekuritas Indonesia and the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation together with the Anindyaguna Karya Salemba Empat Association of the University of Indonesia and 36 children who participated carried out beach clean-up activities in the Serangan sub-district area. On this occasion, education was also provided regarding organic and non-organic waste to participating children. Greetings from the Chief Financial Officer of PT. All the children involved that day were divided into 12 groups. These groups will go to several posts that have been prepared, accompanied by PT representatives. UBS Sekuritas Indonesia in each group. After the trash collection activity, all groups arrived at post one where the post was filled with educational activities on clean and healthy living, demonstrations and practice of washing hands with soap, and breakfast together. Moving on to the next post, at posts two and three the children were given guidance regarding reuse and recycling. They were immediately given examples of how to process waste into reusable materials. The event ended at post four, precisely at I Wayan Bulit Field. To close the event, at this last post several souvenirs and clothes were given to all the children who had participated in the Environ-man Race UBS Employees Engagement Activity "Ecology & Environment" Day and filled with lunch together.
A series of activities held by PT. UBS Sekuritas Indonesia and the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation are not only for financial or environmental interests. More deeply, this activity is the first step for both parties to collaborate in the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation scholarship program.
